Tra Vinh promotes tourism after COVID-19 pandemic
Tourism industry of Tra Vinh province had a meeting with Institute of Tourism and Economy Development Research of Ho Chi Minh city to listen to consultations for implementation of 7 issues to stimulate tourism in Tra Vinh province after COVID-19 pandemic on May 8th.

According to the plan, in 2020, the province's tourism industry will expand the scale of organizing sea tourism seminars in association with Nghinh Ong festival to attract investment in sea and spiritual tourism to Cau Ngang district; organize roadshows to promote Tra Vinh tourism at Hanoi International Tourism Fair; build and put into operation tourism products in Ho islet, Cang Long district; invest in services, tourist ferry, ect, to improve the quality of tourism in Chim islet, Chau Thanh district; train tourism communication skills for people in Ba Om Pond Culture and Tourism Village; learning tourism management experience; plan to promote Culture and Tourism Week event in association with Moon festival of Khmer people in 2020 towards expanding the scale and launching new tourism products of the province on this occasion.

At the same time, the tourism industry will also strengthen coordination with local People's Committees to focus on developing and organizing quality festivals, attractive events to attract tourists such as Nghinh Ong; Vu Lan, Moon festivals, etc, invest, improve the quality of sea tourism products, eco-tourism and spiritual tourism which is the strength of the province; strengthen the linkage of the provinces in the eastern tourist cluster of Mekong Delta to stimulate domestic tourism, in the context of the province's tourist arrivals and tourism revenue indexes which have sharply decreased since March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
