Ham Ky ancient house
A landlord’s house in Ham Huynh Ky district (also called Ham Ky), located in the center of Cau Ke town,is one of the ancient architectural works that have been preserved in a rather undamaged state on the territory of Tra Vinh
province. This house was built in 1924 with lime walls and tile roofs. And there is a harmonious combination between the French architecture and the Asian style.It is on the list of the Indochinese architectural works whose origin design copies are stored in France.The interior space is airy and comfortable; the ceiling is decorated with paintings of high artistic values. The Ham Ky, together with the ancient houses of Cong Tu Bac Lieu and Binh Thuy –Can Tho, was ranked among the three ancient civil architectural works in South Vietnam.

Ham Ky ancient house, with its Ham Ky Tomb (in Hoa An commune),has created ancient features and become an interesting address for the circle of architectural and cultural researchers to study the life of the upper class in South Vietnam in the early 20th century.
